Woo Print Privacy Policy
KJ Lee ("we", "us", or "our") developed the Woo Print app. This policy explains how we handle your data when you use our service through our website, [Website Address, if applicable], or any other platform where it is made available.
Introduction
Woo Print simplifies printing WooCommerce order information from your mobile device to a network-connected printer. We are committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains what data we access, how it's used, and your rights.
Information We Access and Why It's Necessary
Woo Print requires access to your WooCommerce store data to function. This access is facilitated through your WooCommerce store's webhooks. We only access this data with your explicit permission and configuration within the WooCommerce settings. We are committed to data minimization, accessing only the data absolutely necessary to provide the service:
WooCommerce Data (via WooCommerce Webhooks):
Order Information: We access order details such as order ID, customer name, order date, items purchased, billing and shipping addresses, and total amount. This is essential to print the order information. This data is only accessed when you initiate a print request.
Product Information: We may access product names and quantities for each item in an order. This is used to accurately display the order contents on the printout.
Payment Information: We do not access any sensitive payment information such as credit card numbers or bank details. This information is not included in the data transmitted to the app.
Network Information:
Printer Location: We use network discovery protocols to identify printers on the same network as your mobile device. This is solely for the purpose of selecting and sending print jobs to the chosen printer. No persistent data about the network or connected printers is stored.
How We Use Your Information
We use the information obtained from your WooCommerce store and network exclusively for the following purposes:
Order Retrieval: We use WooCommerce webhook data to retrieve the selected order information.
Order Presentation: We format the retrieved order information for printing.
Print Job Delivery: We send the formatted order information to the selected printer using standard printing protocols.
Error Reporting: We may collect anonymized data related to application errors to improve the quality and stability of Woo Print.
Data Security
We use HTTPS encryption to protect your data during transmission between your mobile device and your WooCommerce store. Print data is sent directly to the printer and is not stored on our servers.
Data Storage
Woo Print does not store any WooCommerce order data or payment information on our servers. Order data is accessed temporarily to facilitate the printing process and is discarded immediately afterward. We only retain anonymized, aggregated error reports for troubleshooting purposes.
Log Files
We use industry-standard log files to analyze trends, administer the site (if applicable), track user movement on the website (if applicable), and gather demographic information. This information includes Internet Protocol (IP) addresses, browser type (if applicable), Internet Service Provider (ISP) (if applicable), referring/exit pages (if applicable), date/time stamp, and possibly the number of clicks (if applicable). This data is not linked to any personally identifiable information. Log data is retained for a maximum of 30 days and is automatically deleted after this period.
Third-Party Access
We do not share your data with any third-party services except for the authorized use of standard printing protocols and your WooCommerce store's webhooks.
User Control
You have full control over Woo Print's access to your WooCommerce store data:
Revoking Permissions: You can revoke Woo Print's access to your WooCommerce store by disabling the corresponding webhooks in your WooCommerce store settings.
Children's Information
Our Service is not intended for children under 13 years of age, and we do not knowingly collect data from children under 13. If you are a parent or guardian and believe that your child has provided us with personal information, please contact us immediately.
